The Covid era has been a strange time for all. So much of the world has changed, but the thing I know most intimately is how much my world has changed. This time of solitude has helped me evolve in ways that I truly believe would not have been possible had I not slowed down. Being spread thin doesn't allow oneself to produce their best work, at that point it's just about surviving.
Though, this is a happy story, so let's get back to that.
I am so grateful for an experience that I recently had putting together an Immersive dining experience in Boca Raton, Florida that I would love to share with you.
Before, during and after the dinner I was asked a lot of questions about it as I intentionally kept the details vague, by design. I won't give away too many details here either, as the linked video goes into a detailed recap of the event. That being said, this experience forced me to look backwards in order to move forward; to look at the past accomplishments that (in a pre-covid world) I would normally speed past in conquest of what's next. I wanted to take this opportunity to talk about what goes into my creative process when it comes to putting together an immersive, story telling, dining experience.
I am very proud of the dinner, along with how much long distance planning and logistics that went into making it a success. I could not have done it without the amazing teams at The Boca Resort or my team. As I sit here looking at a different kind of white sand in The Berkshires, what was just a 2 weeks ago seems like a distant memory. Here's to many more.
