11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Preservation has always been part of traditional kitchens. Using salt, vinegar, and aromatics, cooks learned how to extend the life of the season while building some of the most vibrant flavors in the pantry.

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll focus on the foundations of pickling and preserving using simple techniques that can easily be recreated at home. Guests will learn how to build balanced brines, understand the difference between quick pickles and longer preservation methods, and explore how preserved ingredients can elevate everyday cooking.

Working with seasonal vegetables, we’ll prepare a selection of pickles together while discussing how chefs use acidity, salt, and aromatics to build flavor.

Each guest will leave with jars prepared during class along with recipes and techniques that can be used throughout the year.

Length: Approximately 2.5–3 hours
